新奥聚变

新奥聚变 is a Beijing-based private company that began fusion research in 2017 and focuses on developing fusion energy with an emphasis on environmental and cost effectiveness. In July 2022 the company formalized a technical route characterized as hydrogen–boron fuel, a spherical ring configuration, and artificial-intelligence control algorithms. The company is described as one of the earliest private fusion research firms in China. Financially, it has just completed a Pre-A financing round with the amount undisclosed and a reported post-money valuation of RMB 10.6 billion. The recent round included a group of strategic and financial investors such as 龙芯创投, 中科创星, 经纬创投, 联想之星, 鼎晖投资, 凯辉基金, 恒旭资本, 招商致远资本, and 亦庄国投.
